Our Story
In May 2021, the Mountrath community faced the heartbreaking loss of Trevor Wallace, a young farmer known for his immense character and generous spirit. Trevor was deeply involved in his family’s business, Wallace Fencing, working alongside his father and brothers. His sudden passing left a void that words cannot fill.
Determined to honor Trevor’s memory and raise awareness about mental health, his family and friends organized the inaugural “Rev for Trev” tractor run in May 2022. The event served as a tribute to Trevor’s life and aimed to support vital mental health services. The first run raised funds for Pieta House and Teac Tom, organizations dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health support.
Your support can help us Save one life who is struggling.
The overwhelming support from the community led to the continuation of the event in subsequent years. In 2023, the second “Rev for Trev” tractor run was held, with proceeds benefiting Jigsaw and Teac Tom, further emphasizing the commitment to mental health advocacy.
By 2024, “Rev for Trev” had become a staple event in Mountrath, symbolizing unity, remembrance, and hope. The third annual run took place on May 12, 2024, continuing to support mental health charities and bringing the community together in a shared mission.
